Service

Curriculum Monitoring and Assessment for Entrepreneurship and Social Impact in Schools.

Design

The Equality Clubs, created by Aawaaz in collaboration with YLAC (Young Leaders for Active Citizenship)and Oxfam India, used a year-long curriculum to educate high school students on issues like gender equality, economic disparity, and diversity. Through biweekly sessions, students engaged in discussions, experiential learning, and leadership activities to challenge stereotypes and build empathy. The program included practical projects, such as the Equality Project Incubator, where students proposed solutions to societal issues, with top ideas receiving funding. Active in over 100 schools across 24 cities, the clubs aimed to inspire a new generation of socially conscious leaders.

Impact

Aawaz launched a program, "Equality Clubs" wherein, by raising consciousness about the inequalities that exist in society, students were transformed into thinking adults who can look at the world objectively & with empathy.
