Project Overview
In October 2022, the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi, embarked on a transformative journey to redesign educational curricula with a focus on Inquiry-Based Learning and the core principles of ‘Design Thinking’. This innovative approach emphasized experiential learning and reflective practices, ensuring a dynamic and engaging educational experience. In partnership with the Delhi Government, Aawaaz played a pivotal role in this forward-thinking initiative by developing specialized units for students from grades 6 through 12. Together, we created a curriculum that not only encouraged active participation but also fostered critical reflection, paving the way for a more holistic and responsive learning environment.

Design
Our curriculum was thoughtfully crafted to nurture a broad range of essential qualities that supported both personal and academic growth. By emphasizing Empathy, Curiosity, and Perseverance, the program invited students to immerse themselves fully in their learning journey. It developed nuanced Decision-making and Critical Thinking skills, while also fostering Collaboration and Resilience in overcoming challenges. Through inspiring students to Dream Bigger and persistently rebound from setbacks, the curriculum aimed to equip learners with the vital attributes needed to navigate and excel in an ever-changing world.
Impact
Facilitators meticulously crafted eleven units to support the new curriculum's implementation, creating a learning environment that nurtured students' ability to ideate, innovate, and excel within the educational framework. This comprehensive initiative aimed to enhance students' educational experiences, promoting intellectual growth and creativity while seamlessly aligning with the updated curriculum.
